    My Services

    I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients.

    I am certified in IFS (internal family systems, level 1), which is an up to date, evidence based modality, and I am also Gottman Level 1 certified. Both of these trainings have been incredibly helpful in guiding individuals and couples towards their goals.

    I am trauma trained which I find to be helpful in assisting clients in working through relationship difficulties often associated with trauma. I specialize in relationships, and have trained in a variety of modalities, including EFT (emotion focused therapy) and Imago, to make therapy as effective as possible. I have also trained in addressing intimate challenges, with a sensitivity to faith-based couples.

    Counseling for Trauma

    Most people will experience trauma in their lifetime Sometimes lasting trauma, which can cause a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, or posttraumatic stress far after the event has passed, has a deep impact on relationships. In these circumstances, the support, guidance, and assistance of a therapist is fundamental to healing from trauma and creating healthier connections despite past experiences.

    Couples Counseling

    Do you feel like your relationship is at a standstill? Are you and your partner stuck in the same argument loop every night? Do you feel like you and your partner are drifting away? Do you desire more intimacy between you and your partner? All things can be improved, changed and bettered, with just a little support, no matter how big or small. With couples therapy, you’ll learn how to communicate your feelings and needs, and get what you want out of your relationship. In my couple’s therapy sessions, I help people develop the necessary skills needed to maintain sustaining love.

    Emotion-Focused Therapy

    EFT is an approach to therapy treatment based on the premise that our emotions are a key to our identity and a guide for decision making. When we lack awareness of our emotions or avoid unpleasant emotions, we are unable to use the information provided by these emotions.

    Individual Therapy

    If you’ve been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels unsurmountable, individual therapy could help you improve your everyday life.

    You may not be struggling with a specific issue, but feel like you want a safe calm space to share your thoughts and feelings. Individual therapy helps you feel supported as you navigate life.

    Parenting Coaching

    Coaching is a bit different from traditional psychotherapy or counseling in that its focus is more goal-directed. Whereas traditional therapy may have you spend weeks exploring past events to recognize how they have contributed to current moods and behaviors, parenting coaching helps you choose a goal and offers tried and true techniques to help get the outcomes you desire.

    Women’s Issues

    Women may experience certain environmental, psychological, and biological challenges related to gender that have a significant impact on their mental health and well-being. If not addressed properly, these challenges can turn into burdens that often lead to anxiety, depression, and a lost sense of self.
